Hello! My name is Rachel Jones and I live in Udon Thani, Thailand. My husband and I have been here for 4 years. Thailand is a striking mix of modern conveniences and deep rooted thousand year old cultural traditions. While much of the country still has rice fields and grass huts, the cities have modernized with concrete buildings, somewhat paved roads, fairly stable electricity, and indoor plumbing. Even computers and cell phones have become easily accessible and popular. But, underlying all the material things, a deep set Buddhist mentality remains. read more. |

With the news of expecting another child, I can’t help but to reflect on how our beautiful daughter came into this world more than two years ago. I had so many people ask me if I was going to stay here or come back to the states, but with our visa situation so up in the air at that time it was much easier to stay and pray that everything worked out. Everything worked out and we had a healthy baby girl, but the journey was a roller coaster of emotions and events outside of our expectations. read more. |

Change: Who me? My testimony about moving and living in Thailand.
My childhood was simple and structured. We got up at the same time every morning, ate a home cooked breakfast, went off to school, arrived back to a home cooked supper, and went to bed at the same time every night. We went to church every time the doors were open, and the thought of change never crossed my mind. It was so easy to do what was right. At the age of 11, I realized change was mandatory.
